Every Sunday around 8pm I sit on my couch with my phone and my calendar open, and I do the least glamorous 20 minutes of my whole week.

I'm not filming anything. I'm not editing.

I'm just writing down four times a day, every day, when a video is going out.. 4am, 6am, 1pm, 6pm.. and roughly what each one is.

It's not inspired. Half the time I don't even know exactly what I'll say yet. I just know the slot exists and something is going in it.

Here's what took me way too long to figure out.

The plan isn't there to make me more creative. It's there so creativity doesn't have to show up on command.

When I know Tuesday at 1pm is a monetization video, my brain already starts working on it Monday without me forcing it.

When there's no slot, there's no video, no matter how good my ideas are that week.

Most people have this backwards.

They wait to feel inspired, then try to find time to film. I do the opposite..

The time gets decided first, completely boring and mechanical, and the inspiration fills in around it because it has to.

So here's the thing I want you to actually do, not just agree with.

Before Monday starts, pick 3 fixed times this week you're going to post, and write them down somewhere you'll actually see, not just in your head.

Doesn't matter if you don't know yet what you're posting at each one. The slot comes first.

The content will show up because you told it to.

P.S. I still don't always know what I'm filming when the slot hits. I show up for the time, not the idea. The idea's never been the hard part.
